If your treatment is well-adjusted, then your doctor can remove your legal obligation to disclose your HIV-positive status and to use condoms. This means that you do not have to tell your sexual partners about your HIV status or use a condom during sex.
Make sure that your doctor enters into your medical records that your obligation to disclose your HIV-positive status and to use a condom has been removed.
For treatment to be considered well-adjusted, virus levels need to be undetectable on two consecutive measurements in a row, 3-6 months apart. If you move to Sweden and are already taking HIV medication, you will still have to wait six months before you can have the obligation to disclose your HIV-positive status and use condoms removed. This is to make sure you have a well-adjusted treatment. When your treatment is well-adjusted and your viral load is undetectable this means HIV cannot be transmitted through sex.
