For older people

When you apply for elderly care from your municipality, you will be assigned a caseworker who will assess what support you can receive. You do not need to tell your caseworker or any other care worker that you are living with HIV.

Everyone who works in elderly care has a duty of confidentiality. No one is permitted to disclose information about your HIV status unless you want them to.

Opening hours

  • The premises are usually staffed and open for visits:

    Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 09:00-15:00. (closed for lunch 12:00-12:30)
    Open to all people living with HIV.

    Wednesdays 17:00-22:00
    Open to gay and bisexual men living with HIV.
    Dinner will be served at 18:00-20:00.

    Fridays 17:00-22:00
    Open to all people living with HIV. On Fridays, you can bring a family member, a loved one or a friend if you like.
    Dinner will be served at 18:00-20:00.

    The office is closed for the summer from 19 June to 3 August, but can be reached by email. The premises are open on Wednesday and Friday evenings as usual throughout the summer.

    If you are looking for a specific person in the office, then please make an appointment for a visit.

About us

Posithiva Gruppen (PG) was established in 1985 and is Sweden’s largest organisation for people living with HIV. We are a nationwide non-profit, non-partisan and non-religious membership association.

Our purpose is to bring people together that are living with HIV for education and social contact, to provide support and psychosocial activities and to create forums for the exchange of experiences. We also monitor rights and advocate to raise awareness of HIV in society as well as counteract stigma and prejudice.
